Hello All!
As you know, the car and all of our tools were shipped off to Australia in late August. Last week we received word that they had arrived in Adelaide and were making their way through customs and quarantine. The crate was delayed in quarantine because of the presence of some mildew left from its trans-oceanic journey, but after a weekend of metaphysical support and a quick wash, all is well! The crate has been officially cleared and is awaiting pickup. Faculty sponsors Joe Ritter, Steve Shedd, and Karen Davis have already set foot on Australian turf and are preparing to drive the crate and our batteries up to Darwin. John Broere will be flying out of St. Louis tomorrow to meet them and the rest of the students will be taking to the skies next Saturday. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks, and thanks for all of your support as we embark on the next stage of the Principia Solar Car journey!
