In with the new, out with the old — This year’s new regulations require all teams to control their car with a steering wheel. Our wheel is built from carbon fiber, and is home to an array of electronics which provide a link between the driver and the car. The screen will display the output from a rear view camera.  Toggles along the bottom will enable the motor, switch from forward to reverse, and turn the hazard lights on. On the front, two push buttons control turn signals, another two on the back allow the driver the regenerate power while braking and radio the chase vehicle while driving. Finally a quick release with multi pole connector docks the wheel to the car. This functionality is critical for a driver change, because it’s impossible to get out otherwise!
