Joe is unquestionably the most experienced chase van driver in the world. Now in his 12th year of advising the Solar Car project, Joe is returning to Australia for his second time. On paper, Joe takes on the role of team manager and faculty advisor. However his race roles extend far beyond this. Love and Patience are two qualities Joe enlivens the team with. In addition to this, Joe is also a full time father, one who dedicates his time as evenly as possible between elementary aged kids and college aged toddlers. Hobbies include, but are not limited to, doing everything solar car related, dabbling in the instruction of chemistry, part timing as the Wizard of Speed and Time, and acting Intergalactic Ruler of the Universe.
